“The power and vibrancy of Sibéal’s voice; crystalline on the lovely Mná na hÉireann, songbird-like on the stately Mo Ghile Mear, bearing a maturity beyond her years on The Parting Glass.”, “A New Trad Star Is Born” – Lauren Murphy – The Sunday Times, Culture Magazine
“I found that mesmerising and I was thinking while you were singing, if Ireland was a song she’d sound like you”
Ryan Tubridy of Sibéal’s performance on The Late Late Show
“Spine tingling,” “Evocative and powerful,” “A young woman of the new Ireland,”
– Irish Independent
Sibéal has released her self-titled debut album, ‘Sibéal’ through Universal Music Ireland. Get it here!
Sibéal’s self-titled debut went to No.1 in the pre-order album charts, debuted at No.10 in the Irish Album Charts and currently reigns at No.6. The album was recorded across a variety of studios, including Windmill Lane, The National Concert Hall, RTÉ Studios, Rathmines College DIT and in Rath Cairn, where Sibéal herself hails from. The full-length album comes after her well-received ‘Live At Abbey Road’ EP, which debuted in March of this year and reached #3 in the iTunes charts.
About Sibéal:
Sibéal Ní Chasaide was born in the Rath Cairn Gaeltacht, County Meath, a community that lives and breathes music. She sings in a traditional sean-nós style and brings the ancient Irish tradition into the contemporary space.
Her voice is rich, distinctive, and carries a wisdom that stretches far beyond her years. It’s exciting to see an artist like Sibéal at the start of a promising career, and the world can expect her to continue carving her way through the musical landscape for years to come.
